Worship
Hey guys,
So one of the most important aspects of being a Christian is worhsip. Not just singing with your hands in the air, but when what you do praises God. Let me give you a quick definition of worship:
- reverent honor and homage paid to God or a sacred personage, or to any object regarded as sacred.
- formal or ceremonious rendering of such honor and homage.
- adoring reverence or regard:
Notice not one of those specifically says “sing!” I like the two words adoring reverence. You know when something is just so incredible you are filled with a sense of awe? To me, what I would define as the best kind of worship is that filling of awe mixed with praise, whether it’s just in my head or verbal. Whenever I went to Fields of Faith (The annual FCA youth rally) last month, I worshiped just seeing how many people of my generation were there singing out their hearts, finding freedom, defying the social norm and displaying love to the God who created them. That filled me with wonder and just worship for God because no matter how rough this world can get sometimes, there are still the good moments. I never want to miss those, and I always want to give God the glory for them. God is always good!

I love you. You are so good. You are so worthy of praise for every good thing, every blessing you heap upon us. I love you Jesus!
